Veterans Memorial Golf Club, previously named, All Vets Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 9 hole golf course located in Clear Lake, Iowa.
The course dates to 1922. In 1945, the course was purchased by the Clear Lake Chamber. The Chamber dedicated the course to Clear Lake's war veterans and named it All Veterans Golf Club. In 2011 the city of Clear Lake acquired the course and re-named it, Veterans Memorial Golf Club. In the early 1950's, highway 18 was constructed, eliminating two of the original holes. The course purchased an apple orchard just to the west of the course. Holes 3 and 4 now sit where the orchard once was. In 1962, a new clubhouse was constructed and is still in operation today.
This picturesque course sits on 61 acres and features tree-lined fairways and numerous sand bunkers.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 3,049 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2,767 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 501 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 165 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 9, the 501 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 2, a 165 yard par-3.
The signature hole is #5, a 185-yard, par 3, well-bunkered pear-shaped green.

Fairways and greens are always in impeccable shape. Clubhouse staff very friendly. Mondays you get 18 holes and a cart for $20! Course is always busy with lots of old people going very slowly. Too bad the course is landlocked with only 9 holes.
