The Wilderness at Fortune Bay first opened for play in 2004. The course was designed by Jeffrey D. Brauer.
The course measures over 7,200 yards from the back tees, and is laid out across the scenic and spectacular land around Fortune Bay. Four sets of tee boxes provid options of challenge for beginner golfers to experienced professionals. Many of the holes are located on a high granite ridge, with views to Lake Vermilion and the surrounding forest. One hole is located along the shores of Lake Vermilion. There are also five ponds on the course, and six holes have water in play.
The Wilderness At Fortune Bay golf course plays to 7,207 yards and a par-72. The course rating is 75.3 with a slope rating of 144.
The resort facility offers first-class accommodations at Fortune Bay Resort Casino.

I like this course very much. It ranks right up there with the two courses at Giants Ridge. But I think a better ambiance.
