American Legion Country Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Mount Union, Pennsylvania.
American Legion golf course first opened in 1924. This mature course, built originally as the Juniata Valley Colony Club, was later sold to the Simpson-Hunt Post of the American Legion.

The first nine holes travel around the perimeter of the course, with woods and out-of-bounds along the way. The second nine holes wind their way around the interior of the course. The greens are relatively small, extremely fast and have a wavy motion to challenge the most experienced golfer.

The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-6 that plays to 638 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 115 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 434 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at American Legion Country Club is # 15, a 115 yard par-3.

I play this course often because the price is excellent for the area & quality of the course.

I have played this course numerous times and I like it. Several greens are too small and the first two holes leave much to be desired. The staff is great, the price is greater and the views are unmatched. I have never had a bad round there.

Long and challenging, course has been in it's best condition over the past three years that it has been in a very long time...Great place to vacation with lodging about 10 miles up the road...Lodging is near Raystown Lake and several other golf courses nearby...would be a great trip for the whole family. Very beautiful scenery all around. Could also make an early trip to see a PSU football game and play a round of golf.
