Quail Creek Country Club & Resort first opened for play in 1920 as a 9-hole course named Crawford County Country Club. The course was designed by Tom Bendelow. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 1965. The design work was done by William James Spear. Other golf course architects who have renovated / redesigned the course over the years are: Kenneth Killian in 1988, and Drew Rogers in 2008.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,602 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,091 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 556 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 that plays to 168 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 423 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 18, a 184 yard par-3.
