Detailed description

Winchendon School Golf Club is an 18-hole public course located i in the small, north-central Massachusetts town of Winchendon.

Winchendon Golf Course was designed by Donald J. Ross and opened in January 1921.

Winchendon is a short, narrow course. The greens are small and undulating. The fairways are hilly. The course remains much as it was when Ross designed it although some bunkers and tees have been modified with time. The course requires an accurate short game and good course management.

This hilly course is lined with a variety of different trees. Some of the medium-sized greens are slightly elevated, and the fairways are narrow. The course is located near Mount Monagnot, one of the largest mountains in Massachusetts. The spectacular view includes all New England has to offer: Lakes, forests, and New Hampshire's Mt. Monadnock, the most climbed mountain in the world

Winchendon Golf Course measures 5,427 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 114 and a 65.7 USGA rating. The course features two sets of tees for different skill levels.
