Detailed description

Yellowstone Club is a private, 18-hole golf course located in Big Sky, Montana.

The course was designed by Tom Weiskopf and opened for play in 2006.

You must be careful with your club distance selection. With an 8,000 foot elevation, you will be hitting farther than normal. Add to that elevation changes and your downhill drives might be truly amazing.

The signature hole is #4, a 434-yard par-4. The tee overlooks the whole course. The fairway opens with a bunker on the left and large on the right. The tight fairway between the two hazards leads to an elevated and crowned green protected by twin bunkers on the sides.

#10 is a 443-yard dogleg right from the tips. An uphill tee shot must avoid the fairway bunker on the right-hand side. You will be left with a severely downhill shot into a tricky green protected by a pair of bunkers to the right.

#18 is a 576-yard par-5. The hole plays up a large hill with twin bunkers at the crest. Your options are to try hitting a drawing shot past the bunkers hoping to catch the slope and roll to the front of the green or to hit to the right of the bunkers on the top of the hill leaving a downhill wedge into the sloping green.
