Detailed description

The Bamm Hollow Country Club facility in Lincroft, New Jersey is a private 27 hole golf course facility. The Club has three 9-hole golf courses. These courses can be combined in pairs to form three different 18 hole course challenges. The nine-hole courses are The Red Course, The White Course, and The Blue Course.

The Bamm Hollow Country Club opened in 1972. The course was designed by Hal Purdy and Malcolm Purdy. Nicholas Psiahas redesigned the course in the late 1970s, followed by Karl Litten in 1991.

The Red Course has narrow fairways. This hilly course has elevated greens and tees. There are three ponds that come into play on two holes.

The White Course has a few long par 4's. This course is mostly flat, but there are some hills that can cause uneven lies. This course is mostly open with a couple dogleg fairways. There is a pond that does not come into play. The signature hole is #6, a 461-yard, par 4. The fairways are flat, and the greens are fast.

The Blue Course has tight fairways and fast greens. This is a predominantly flat course that has been cut out of a forest. There is a pond that comes into play on the #6 hole.

The course closed in 2011.

Beginning in 2014, the ground was being broken and heavy equipment moved in, marking the beginning of the long expected, but initially bitterly opposed large-scale residential project for the former Bamm Hollow country club and golf course.

Toll Brothers, headquartered in Horsham, Pa., and touted as the nation’s largest builders of luxury homes, has commenced site work, installing infrastructures, such as water and sewer lines at the approximately 280-acre location in the area of Middletown-Lincroft Road and Sunnyside Road.

The company is commencing with its first phase, constructing 68 homes of what will eventually be 190 high-end single-family dwellings on the site.

The homes reportedly will range in size from 3,300 to 5,000 square feet and sit on lots spanning 20,000 square feet up to 2 acres. Prices on the homes are expected to start in the upper $800,000 range.
