Barracks Golf Course opened for play as a 9-hole course in 1953. The course was expanded to 18-holes in 1962. The course was designed by Scott Witter.
This former military course has fairways that are wide, and the greens are fast. Water hazards come into play on a majority of holes.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,857 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 5,008 yards. The longest holes on the course are # 6 and #18, both are par-5s that play to 560 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 145 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 18, the 560 yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Barracks Golf Course is # 4, a 183 yard par-3.
