Detailed description

Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course is owned and operated by the City of Goldsboro Recreation and Parks Department.

The Goldsboro Golf Course, built in 1941, was completely renovated in 1999 and reopened as the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course in April 2000. The renovations were carried out by golf course architect John LaFoy who worked to maintain the traditional style of the layout, noting that the course was "reminiscent of the many fine old Donald Ross layouts scattered throughout North Carolina."

The course features large bent grass greens which average over 6,000 square feet each, with 419 Bermuda fairways, concrete cart paths throughout, a full-service pro shop with a great selection of merchandise, snack bar, and grill, and a friendly and qualified staff to help golfers of every skill level.

The course includes one of the best collections short par 4 holes to be found anywhere, as well as some of the most challenging par threes. Four sets of tees provide a true test of golf for everyone, from beginners to low handicappers.

Tee times are required on weekends and holidays, and seasonal rates apply.
