Goose Creek Golf & Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Grandy, North Carolina, very close to the Atlantic Ocean.
Goose Creek Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1992. The course was designed by Jerry Turner.
The course was carved out of the heavily-wooded terrain. The front nine has wide-open fairways, and the back nine was designed to wind in and out of the forest. Six ponds come into play on many of the course's holes, and sand bunkers are spread throughout the entire design. Large oak and pine trees were placed in the middle of some of the sand bunkers, creating the need for some interesting shot making. Hole #15, a 215-yard, par 3, has a water hazard that runs from the tee box to the green and requires a shot into the wind. Northerly winds can often become a major factor. Goose Creek provides challenges to all golfers while offering playability for less experienced players.
