Detailed description

Island Green Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Island Green opened for play in 1980. The course was designed by William Mooney.

The Course was originally a 27-hole facility, but they closed the Dogwood nine, so only the Tall Oaks and Holly nines remain. Built on gently rolling terrain accented with an abundance of oaks, pines, dogwoods, and azaleas, it has strategically placed island tees and greens as well as peninsula greens. Water comes into play on all nine holes on the Tall Oaks nine.

Island Green Country Club is built on gently rolling terrain accented with an abundance of azaleas and dogwoods. With two different nine holes, the front being Tall Oaks and the back nine being Holly. The course is not overly difficult, making it enjoyable for all skill levels. This course plays 6,400 yards from the champion tees, 6,100 yards from the white tees, 5,640 yards from the gold tees and 4,660 yards from the ladies tees.

The course closed in 2016. The course was subsequently foreclosed.
