Detailed description

Pecan Valley Municipal Golf Course is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Fort Worth, Texas. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses, The Hills Course and The River Courses.

The River Course and the front nine of The Hills Course were designed by Ralph Plummer and opened in 1963.

The two golf courses are separated by the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. The River Course, considered one of the top municipal courses in Texas, plays to about 6,100 yards from the Regular (White) Tees and can be extended to 6,600 yards from the Championship (Blue) Tees. Play from the Forward (Red) Tees is just under 5,400 yards.

The Hills Course back nine was designed by Dave Bennet. and was added in 1982. The Hills Course is approximately 150 yards shorter than the River Course. Several hundred trees have been planted and are just beginning to mature which will improve playing conditions in the years to come.
