Hatchet Creek Golf Club first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by Joe Gillind.
Hatchett Creek Golf Course plays to a 9-hole par-35 and a maximum distance of 2,930 yards. Men and women use the same tee boxes. The course can be played twice for an 18-hole challenge.
This wooded course has hickory, pecan, pine, cedar, maple, and oaks lining the fairways. The course is fairly rolling and at times, very hilly. There is water that comes into play on holes #7. The fairways are extremely tight, and some of them are ninety-degree doglegs. The greens are very small.
