Point University Golf Course

Point University Golf Course, previously a private course named Riverside Country Club, is now a public 18 hole golf course. The course is located in Lanett, Alabama.

Riverside Country Club first opened for play in 1954.

In 2015, Point University was gifted the Riverside Golf Club, a golf, tennis, dining, and events center. 

This tree-lined course is showcased by its relaxing scenery and rolling hills. A water hazard only comes into play on one hole, but there are well-positioned sand bunkers throughout the course. Some of the very small greens are elevated. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

Par for the course is 70. From the back tees. the course plays to 6,252 yards. From the forward tees. the course measures 4,852 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 565 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 122 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 9, a 425-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Point University Golf Course is # 17, a 130 yard par-3.
