The Country Club Of Mobile is a Private, 27 hole golf facility located in Mobile, Alabama. The facility has two courses, the 18-hole Regulation Course, and the 9-hole Executive Course. Guests must be accompanied by a member in order to play.
The Country Club of Mobile is a member owned, private country club. The Club was organized in 1897 before the turn of the century, and incorporated on March 1, 1899, along the old Bay Shell Road, which ran along Mobile Bay, and just north of the Brookley Coast Guard Base. During the latter part of 1914, the club and courses were relocated to their present location.
The Regulation Courses and Executive Course date from 1914, but as we know them today date from their 1928 design by Donald Ross. The courses have been rennovated over the years by Willard Byrd, Clyde Johnston and Alfred H. Tull.
The Regulation Course _________
The Regulation Course that is surrounded by oak and pine trees. The fast greens are medium-sized, and the fairways are average width. There are ponds, creeks, and lakes that come into play on six holes, along with numerous sand bunkers throughout the course.
