Lake Powell National is referred to as the "Crown Jewel" of golf in Northern Arizona. The championship 18-hole course opened for play in September of 1995. Sitting on a high mesa overlooking the impressive Glen Canyon Dam, beautiful Lake Powell, and Vermillion Cliffs, this scenic layout is a visual treat as well as a player's delight. Designed by William Phillips, the 18 holes wind down and around natural red-rock outcroppings and from the Lower Mesa (front 9) to the Upper Mesa (back 9) there is an elevation change of some 300 feet. Five sets of tees provide for a challenging, yet equitable, golfing experience for players of all calibers.
