Detailed description

Antelope Hills Golf Course -North, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Prescott, Arizona.

Antelope Hills first opened for play in 1956 with the opening of the North Course. The course was designed by Lawrence Hughes. It has a traditional layout, which features tree lined fairways, and fast bentgrass greens. Watch out for the trees around the greens.

At 5,000 feet in elevation, Antelope Hills makes for a great escape from the Arizona summer valley heat. Temperatures can average 15 to 20 degrees cooler than the Phoenix area. The course plays to 6,829 yards from the blue tees, 6,551 yards from the white tees and 6,029 yards from the red tee boxes.

North course is tree lined but very playable. Good fairways and greens. Good different looking in holes. This one is B. Worth playing.

Tree lined and fairly flat course. I felt that the course was a bit boring and that many of the trees needed some pruning back as many of your tee shots had overhanging branches way too close to the tee. In fact, on one par three, there were many divots on the tee box outside of the tee markers just so you could aim at the center of the green. The course can be entertaining but the holes are a bit similar. The lake on the par 3 8th hole is very smelly and needs some work. Could be a nice tract with a little more work. Back nine goes around the airport which provides some entertaining plane watching.

I play with my Prescott friend every 2-3 weeks to get away from the heat. I like both the north and south courses but north more.

I love the big elm trees and the sloped greens.

Every lie around the green is a tight lie. very little grass, Course seems to be getting worse, Run hard and put away wet! Once was a great value, sad to say no longer the case.
