Desert Mountain Golf Club, Chiricahua Golf Course
Chiricahua, the fifth Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at desert Mountain, is considered by some to be his best work. The "crown jewel" of Desert Mountain's Nicklaus Signature collection, Chiricahua combines design elements seen in the four earlier courses.
The Chiricahua Course is a desert course - open, with medium-sized, fast greens. Fairway play is forgiving off the tee, with difficulty prevalent on approach shots to the green due to well-bunkered greens surrounded by canyons. The routing has eight holes that play downhill, nine that play uphill and one that plays sideways. Chiricahua provides endless variety.
