TPC Scottsdale, is a Resort, 36 hole golf facility located in Scottsdale, Arizona, about a 30 minutes from Phoenix. The facility has two 18-hole championship courses, The Stadium Course and The Champions Course. Both courses are open for public play.
The Stadium Course is home to the Waste Management Phoenix Open (formerly The FBR Open), the largest spectator golf event in the world.
The course, which opened in 1986, was designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf. The course was designed with tournament play in mind. Home to one of the most famous holes in golf, the course's par-3, 16th hole transforms into "The Coliseum" during the Waste Management Phoenix Open providing fans with one of the most exciting and noisy settings in professional sports.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,216 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,455 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 554 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 11, a 469 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 4, a 150 yard par-3.
