El Rio Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Tuscon, Arizona.
El Rio Golf Course dates back to the 1930s and was the original site for the Tucson Open. The course was operated as a country club until 1968 when the City of Tucson acquired it for public use.
The course layout features tight fairways, small greens, relatively flat terrain, average size greens with some slope, two lakes, and numerous trees. El Rio is ideal for the "short knocker," measuring 5,824 from the red/ladies tees for a par 73 and measuring 6,013 yards from the white tees, and 6,418 from the blue tees. Both the blue and white tees are played to a par 70.
