The course at the Golf Club at Vistoso is a pure desert layout and makes full use of the stunning natural landscape. As is the case with many of Tom Weikopf's designs, the landing areas are generous and the greens are very quick and fiercely bunkered.

From the forward tees, the course measures 5,095 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 589 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 9, a 415 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Golf Club at Vistoso is # 14, a 350 yard par-4. Water is in play on only one hole, the 8th, a 389-yard, par 4.

The Golf Club at Vistoso closed on June 6, 2018.

The course was bought by longtime course operator Alan Mishkin via the Parks Legacy Project out of escrow Aug. 15.

The course was purchased for $3.5 million, with the longtime course operator estimating another $2.5 million to be spent on rebuilding and replacing the facility’s aging infrastructure.

The course is expected to open by mid-2019.
