Deer Trails Golf Course first opened for play in 1948. This was a military course located on Ft. Chaffee. The Base was closed based on the 1995 recommendation of the defense Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission. 7,000 acres of the post was turned over for local community development / control.

#4 is the signature hole. This hole has a dogleg right fairway and requires a shot across a creek.
