The country club & golf course  was commissioned by International Paper and built and designed by the  golf course architect Alfred H. Tull and opened in 1961

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,908 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,292 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 589 Yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 163 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 8, a 589 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 173 yard par-3.

The course closed in 2008.
