Blackhawk Country Club, Lakeside

Blackhawk Country Club is a Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Danville, California. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The Lakeside Course and The Falls Course.

In the early 1900's the lush rolling foothill expanse of Mt. Diablo became known as Blackhawk Ranch, where thoroughbreds graced the land for decades. Years later, this natural splendor inspired a vision of luxury living, and in 1979, a new Blackhawk was born.

Today, as you enter the peaceful world of Blackhawk Country Club, you will drive past lush landscaping and luxurious homes to two magnificent golf courses and clubhouses: the Lakeside and the Falls, surrounded by acres of stunning open space.

Blackhawk Country Club membership is limited and by invitation only.

The Lakeside Course was the first of the two courses. It opened for play in 1981. The course was designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge. In 2001, the course was redesigned and renovated by the firm of Graves and Pascusso. The Lakeside Course makes dramatic use of the natural terrain and elevated tees. The 18th green is an island green surrounded by a 4-acre lake. It is one of the most dramatic holes found in California. 

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,836 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,352 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 627 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 177 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 3, a 581 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Blackhawk, Lakeside Course is # 12, the 177 yard par-3.
