Towering oak, sycamore and elm trees line most of the fairways, and lush turf and colorful flowers enhance the experience.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6202 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5096 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays to 525 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 155 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 416 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 473 yard par-5.
Pala Mesa isn’t a bear, but one hole capable of grabbing the attention of even the most skilled players is 312, a par-4 396 yard challenge that features a narrow fairway that feels like a bowling lane from the tee.
#2, a 304 yard par-4 is a fun test with an easily reachable in regulation green guarded by out-of-bounds markers on the left and a rugged mountain landscape on the right.
