I played in a hosted event so I didn't have to pay for it. I do know what the green fees are and this is not an inexpensive course. That said it is an excellent golf course.

You won't find many courses in OC in better condition. We did not see a bad lie in the fairway all day and the greens are fast and true. They've also done a great job making you feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere when in fact you're in the middle of a busy area. No houses and only a few places where you can see anything but a golf course.

The layout itself is interesting and challenging without being unnecessarily penal. I play to an 8 but from the right tees anyone from 20 down could have fun and be able to score well.

Really one of the nicest in the area and of course they are getting a fee commensurate with a fine California golf course.

it's a good course for my level of playy (16-18 handicap)but it is just too expensive to play on a bi-monthly basis.

I play this course regularly and love it. The course is secluded and well maintained and the staff in the pro shop and restaurant are always friendly and accommodating. If you really want to improve your game take a lesson or two from Oak Creek's Pro, Duncan Simms. I've played for years and he gave me pointers that improved my game tremendously.

Being on this course and you end up forgetting that you are in the middel of Irvine. Some of the rough is just that; ROUGH! Get too far off the fairways and you could lose a small child in that stuff!! That said; NO houses, no street noise, awesome scenery! This place is one of the nicest courses I've played, anywhere, (and I've played a few!) If there is a drawback, it's the price, but my guess is that this is one of the main reasons this course stays in such great condition. The groundkeepers obviously work very hard to keep this course in A-1 shape.

I had a lot of fun here. the course was in very good condition considering the time of year and the bar/restaurant is excellent for a public course.

Some very good deals early mornings and later in the day on weekdays. We played for $75 with cart - early morning, senior rate. Keep the ball in play - the rough is brutal.

The entire staff treats each guest as if they were members. As a previous member of a private club I can't say enough about the course and the entire facility.

Always in great condition. Excellent layout with true putting greens. Feels like a private course.

Have been a member since it opened. Unlike most Irvine Company owned courses, this one attempts to be a part of the community. Food and beverage is way overpriced and inconsistent. The course is one of the more enjoyable championship course in the area and always a joy. Well designed and playable from all tees, depending on your level. Great range and one of the few in the area to not resort to 'low compression' balls.

Our foursome plays this course about 20+ times every year. We are all over 55 and pay for the yearly seniors card. All of us have played golf all across the country, and consider this the best public course in Orange County, including Pelican Hills two courses ! A gorgeous track...every golfer should play this course to experience what the beauty of golf looks, and feels, like.

Public course that plays like a private course. Excellent fairways and well manicured greens. Depending on the tees you play...a challenge for all levels.
