Very nice course, but a little pricey compared to others in the area. This course is definitely more challenging.

As a result of local drought, and mid-winter season, fairways are extremely dry. Expect lots of roll off the tee; straight = long, but on some holes the tilted fairways means the ball will not stop until it reaches the rough.

This is not a course for the faint of heart but can be played but medium handicap players if they pick the right tees.

One of the top tracks in all San Diego, especially for the price. A rural setting, but only 25 minutes from downtown San Diego. Not the absolute diamond or most difficult in the county, but pound for pound, it's one of the best, easily in the top 5. Have taken several clients here in the past, and they all have been pleased. Staff is great, restaurant and bar are nice, and the three nines are distinctive in character. Grade = 95/A

Steele Canyon is always in fantastic shape with a great staff! The prices are more than reasonable...especially if you are wanting to join, $310 a month for unlimited access! just are not going to find another course in the area with beauty challenge and experience for the money!

Always in great shape. Look for deals on the internet or in the paper, but if you have to pay full price it is still definitely worth it. Pretty hot in the summertime though. Staff is very good and the food and clubhouse are great too.
