Tamarisk Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Rancho Mirage, California, in the Coachella Valley
The course was designed by William F. and William P. Bell. Tamarisk Golf course first opened for play in 1953. Ted Robinson redesigned the course in 1972, followed by Ron Fream in 1981.
The fairways are tree lined, and the large greens are fast. Water hazards come into play on six holes. This well established course is made even more attractive because of the great views of the mountains.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,881 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,940 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 550 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 443 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 18, a 527 yard par-5.
