Diamond Mountain Golf Course, previously named Emerson Lake Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Susanville, California.
Formerly known as Emerson Lake Golf Course, this course was renamed, redesigned and expanded from 9-holes to a full 18-holes in the early 1990s. The course first opened for play in 1968 as a nine hole layout. The course was designed by Dave Tanner and expanded by Richard Walpohl. The tight layout has a defined cut of rough bordering its fairways, so shot accuracy is at a premium. The front nine is relatively open with slight changes in elevation, dog legs, and water hazards. The back nine starts in the open with a links-style feel to some of the holes, then the course goes into the trees with some tight fairways and tall pines. Sand bunkers have been included in the design of every hole. The course's large, sloped greens are fast, but are soft in texture so they should hold your shots.
