Olivas Links, previously named Olivas Park Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Ventura, California.
The golf course at Olivas Links first opened for play in 1964. The course was designed by William F. Bell, famed designer of Torrey Pines.
Olivas Park had a well-known reputation as one of the best golf courses in the Southland region. The new layout (Olivas Links), got even better with upgrades made in 2007 in an attempt to add features to the natural flow through native plant life. The 18-hole, par-72 championship course delivers coastal breezes and picturesque views of Ventura Harbor and the adjacent hillside. The 2007 upgrades were designed by Forest Richardson. Olivas Links is now a traditional links style course with rolling mounds, seaside grasses and native habitats.
The golf course at Olivas Links has an exceptional practice facility that features a large grass tee with five target greens.
The course is owned by the City of Ventura along with her sister course Buenaventura. Olivas Links was honored by Golfweek magazine by being named No. 10 on its 2009 list of top municipal courses in the country
