Detailed description

Golf Club at Heather Ridge previously a private course known as Heather Ridge Country Club, is now a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Aurora, Colorado..

Heather Ridge golf course opened in 1973. Dick Phelps designed this 18-hole Championship golf course that winds through a picturesque residential setting with views of the Rocky Mountains. In 1989, Heather Ridge hosted the Denver Open.

Heather Ridge is an example of a residential community banding together to save the golf course that was a central part of their neighborhood theme. Without community involvement, they would be just another housing development, not a viable golf course community keeping the open space open!

Heather Ridge has narrow fairways and small greens that are undulating and severely sloped. Every hole is lined by out-of-bounds stakes, and water hazards come into play on six holes. Shot accuracy is essential.

Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,106 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,204 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 565 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 115 yards from the back tees.

The most difficult hole is #7, a 506-yard, par 5, featuring sand bunkers, out-of-bounds stakes lining the fairway, and lakes in play on the way to the green. The easiest hole at Heather Ridge Country Club is # 15, a 298 yard par-4.
