Bridges Golf and Country Club is a semi-private 18-hole golf course located in Montrose, Colorado, approximately 65 miles south of Grand Junction and 65 miles north of Telluride on Colorado's Western Slope.
Bridges Golf and Country Club first opened in 2005. The course was designed by the Nicklaus Design Group.
The property is surrounded by many dramatic natural wonders - to the east is - The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. To the north is the Grand Mesa - the World's largest flattop mountain. The views of the San Juan Mountain range from The Bridges at Black Canyon, stretching the length of the southern horizon, are breathtaking. The gently ascending Uncompahgre Plateau extends west of Montrose clear to the Utah border.
The design of the course features a traditional style that also incorporates native plantings, rock features and waterfalls. The spectacular views of the surrounding peaks will make for a memorable round of golf at The Bridges. Multiple tees will vary the length of the course from 5,300 to 7,200 yards.
The Bridges Golf & Country Club plays to 7,207 yards from the longest tees and a par of 71. The course has 10 lakes and numerous water features crossed by 17 golf cart and walking bridges. It's from the numerous bridges that The Bridges at Black Canyon derives its name. Water comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes on the course.
