Walnut Creek Golf Preserve, originally named Heritage Golf Course at Westmoor, is a public, 18-hole golf course located in close proximity south of the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Westminster, Colorado.
The course, designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry opened for play in 1999.
This is a Scottish links-style course loaded with ball trapping bunkers....90 total: 38 on the front nine and an amazing 52 on the back nine. Water comes into play on the par-3 #7, the par-4 #16 and #18, a par-5. Wind can be a factor as highlighted by windsocks on the flag-sticks.
An added bonus is the ever-present views of the Rocky Mountains to the west.
