Conveniently located in the center of the Water Valley community is Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club in Windsor, Colorado. The Club is a Semi-Private 27 hole golf facility. They have the 18-hole Lakes Course and the 9-hole Pelican Falls Course.
Pelican Lakes Golf & Country Club, Lakes Course, first opened for play in 1999. Ted Robinson, Sr. designed Pelican Lakes with the Poudre River as the centerpiece. Golfers cross the winding river four times as they negotiate the 18 holes.
With more than 300 surface acres of water surrounding the links and dozens of mature trees along the fairways, golfers will be challenged by this spectacular stadium-style championship course. Elevated tees and greens provide stunning views of the beautiful landscape and the lakes that divide the fairways from the surrounding residents. A driving range, putting green, and practice chipping green, complete with a sand trap, round out the course's golf amenities.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,129 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,266 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 566 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 that plays to 200 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 566-yard par-5 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 1, a 411-yard par-4.
