The present day Norwich Golf Club golf course first opened for play on July 4, 1925. The course was most likely designed by Walter J. Travis. There has been a lot of speculation that the course was designed by Donald Ross. While many characteristics of the course are similar to Donald Ross designs there is no evidence that he participated in the design of the course.
