The golf course at Suffield Country Club first opened for play in 1927. The course was designed by Ian Smyth.
The golf course at Suffield Country Club is "typical New England style" course. The fairways are tree lined, and the immaculate greens are fast. This hilly course is short, but demanding because of the two-tier greens, plus the water hazards (ponds and creeks) coming into play on several holes. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when double looping for an eighteen hole round.
If you double loop and play 18-holes, Suffield Country Club is a par 72 course with a course rating of 69.9 and slope of 117 and a length of 6004 yards. Suffield Country Club forward tees have a par of 74 with a course rating of 72.1 and a slope 122 and a length of 5647 yards.
