The Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane, previously named Oak Lane Country Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Woodbridge, Connecticut
The Oak Lane Golf Course opened for play in 1961. The course was designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish.
The Course is now under the management team from The Tradition Golf Club at Wallingford. The Tradition team has been hard at work renovating and implementing course improvements.
This once private course was built on hilly terrain. Water hazards that come into play on many holes, and numerous trees line the fairways. #1 is a 570-yard, par 5, which has a river bisecting the slight dogleg left fairway. Another interesting hole on the front nine is #5, a 400-yard, par 4, which has two small ponds sitting in the fairway that must be avoided off the tee. The approach shot is to a green protected by three sand bunkers in front. There is a lot less water on the back nine, but a stream does cut through holes #12, 13 and 14.
The Oak Lane Golf Course plays to a par of 72 and maximum distance of 6,680 yards. The course rating is 72.9 with a slope rating of 125.
