Pinecrest Golf Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Avon Park, Florida.
The course first opened for play in 1926. The course was designed by Donald Ross.
Pinecrest is a stand-alone golf course. Unlike many Florida courses, Pinecrest doesn't wind its way through condominiums, winter homes & hotels. It's a traditional layout that borders beautiful orange groves and natural wooded areas. There's even a peaceful lake without a single building in sight.
In the late 50s, Pinecrest hosted the first nationally televised PGA event, the World Championship of Golf.
Pinecrest and nearby Harder Hall hosted the Haig & Haig Mixed Scotch Tournament from 1959 to 1963.
