Detailed description

Alden Pines Country Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Bokeelia, Florida.

The Golf Course at Alden Pines Country Club first opened for play in 1981. The course was designed by Gordon G. Lewis.

The Golf Course at Alden Pines Country Club is set in a native landscape with wildlife, such as ospreys, eagles, wood storks and alligators. From the tees to the greens the course was planted Adelaidea grass in the fairways, which is native to Australia. This was the first course in America to have this grass. Water comes into play on all of the eighteen holes. The fairways are narrow with some hills. The greens are raised and undulating. Three greens are peninsula greens well-guarded by sand bunkers.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 5,596 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,373 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 508 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 121 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 420 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Alden Pines Country Club is # 10, a 252 yard par-4.
