Celebration Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Celebration, Florida, a few minutes from Disney World near the I-4 and 192 intersections, it’s a landmark in a unique planned community created by the Disney Development Co. in the 1990s.
The course first opened for play in 1996. The course was the last course co-designed by the father and son team of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr.
The Celebration Golf club is designed around a series of pristine lakes with clusters of native oak, pine and magnolia trees dotting the landscape. Water comes into play on 17 of the 18 holes, with the par four #2 hole being the only exception. You will find that forced carries off the tees are commonplace. So are bending fairways, and the greens are tricky throughout. Overall, Celebration is a challenging and fun layout. The practice range is a bit unusual with players hitting balls into a pond.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6786 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 1040 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 566 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 159 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 375 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Celebration Golf Club is # 14, a 382 yard par-4.
