Crystal River Golf Club originally named 7 River's Golf & Country Club, is a public 18 hole golf course located in Crystal River, Florida.
The course first opened to play in 1968. The course was designed by famed golf course architect Bill Amick.
The course has twenty-eight water hazards, complete with live alligators, which come into play throughout the course.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,675 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,505 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 556 yards. The shortest hole on the course is #14, a par-3 that plays to 167 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 12, a 417-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Crystal River Golf Course is # 2, a 168 yard par-3.

Just two months after it closed due to severe flooding problems, the Crystal River Golf Club is up for sale, at a reported asking price of $1.49 million.
Owner Wallace Cahoon reportedly said that he could no longer contend with flooded fairways and lack of golfers and still pay his 10 to 12 employees. Calhoon estimated that course maintenance and salaries were costing $850,000 a year which was more than he was making/
