Davie Golf and Country Club, previously named Arrowhead Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Davie, Florida.
Davie Golf and Country Club first opened for play in 1973. The course was designed by Bill Watts.
The Florida Department of Transportation needed to expand and improve the drainage of Interstate-595. In order to improve I-595 drainage, it required increasing the number of lakes and digging into the golf course, fairways, greens and rough. The project started in 2009. The drainage improvement project has essentially resulted in a brand new golf course with the new lake system that was constructed due to the expansion of I-595. The soil from the excavation of the lakes has been deposited on the golf course to create all new contours from tee to green. Additionally, the course routing has been modiï¬ed to enhance the enjoyment of the course and to accommodate the additional lakes. All of the courses features, including the additional lakes, have been thoughtfully designed to ensure an enjoyable and exciting challenge for all levels of ability.
Several hundred native trees have been planted to enhance its beauty and to provide definition to each hole's landing area and green site.
