Club at Pelican Bay, South Course

The Club at Pelican Bay is a Semi-Private, 36 hole golf course located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Club has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The North Course and The South Course.

The South Course at Pelican Bay first opened for play in 1985.The course was designed by Lloyd Clifton.

The South Course has water in play on 15 holes, with 5 forced carries. The water makes this a course that rewards accuracy more than length. 

The finish is memorable:
#15 is a 410 yard par-4 with an island green. 
#16, a 386 yard par-4 has water that guards the entire right side of the hole. The same holds true for #17, a 209 yard par-3.
#18 is a 425 yard par-4 with a tight dogleg left fairway.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,385 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,135 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 501 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 158 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 1, the 501-yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Club at Pelican Bay, South Course is # 11, a 212 yard par-3.
