Addison Reserve, is a Private, 27 hole golf complex located in Delray Beach, Florida.
Addison Reserve offers three 9 hole layouts that can be combined into 3 different combinations of 18-hole championship golf courses. Addison Reserve first opened for play in 1996.The courses were designed by Arthur Hills. The three nine-hole courses are, Redemption, Salvation and Trepidation.
The 27 golf hole wind through the upscale Addison Reserve resplete with South Florida tropical landscaping. You will find undulations, contours, lakes and tropical vegetation. The layout is traditional yet pure Florida. It's not only pleasant to play, but pleasing to the eye, blending wonderfully with the surrounding environment.
Redemption, is the shorteest of the 3 9-hole segments.
Trepidation, with its elevation changes starts out slow much like the steady climb at the start of the roller coaster, then it twists, turns and ultimately descends on the ninth green. Nervous agitation might be present on the ninth fairway. The prudent might well be advised to bail out to the left and hope for a favorable kick rather than risk landing in a watery grave to the right.
Salvation is anything but. It offers able opportunity for trouble with numerous lakes, and two creeks to avoid as well. Bring an extra ball or two, just in case you are not on your game. The creek on nine sets up a classic par-five finish. Most will play this as a three shot hole, so the creek fronting the green will likely need to be avoided twice, on a lay-up and the flip wedge approach.
