Rainbow Springs Golf & Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Dunnellon, Florida, about 20 minutes west of Ocala. The course is located within The Dunnellon Florida Golf Course Retirement Community at the Villages of Rainbow Springs but is open for public play.
Rainbow Springs Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1979. The course was designed by Joe Lee.
This par 72 course takes full advantage of the natural terrain of the rolling hills and large oak trees to give you a North Carolina feel. The experienced golfer can play from the Championship tee (6,686 yards) while the beginner can play from the Forward tee (5,334 yards). The golf course is unique for a Florida course, in that it has no water hazards but plenty of bunkers and trees to bring trouble into play. This scenic course has large oak trees draped with Spanish Moss throughout its entire design.
The signature hole is #5, a 515-yard, par 5, that goes down a hill then doglegs up another one.
