Amelia River Golf Course is a public, 18-hole golf course located in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
The Amelia River Golf Course first opened for play in 2000. The course was designed by Tom Jackson.
The Amelia River golf course starts out with the first hole located along the border of the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, as are #5 and #13. These three seperated fairways are wide and open, giving the golfer a sense of a traditional Scottish links course. Enjoy these holes because the rest of the course is not nearly as open and consequently can be more of a challenge.
Large greens and rolling fairways are a trademark of the Amelia River Golf Curse. The signature hole is #17, a par three surrounded by water demanding an accurate shot to an island green. The final hole ends at the edge of the Amelia River and its expansive tidal marsh.
The Amelia River golf course plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 6,823 yards. The course rating is 72.8 and the slope rating is 137.
