Verandah Golf Club is a semi-private 36-hole golf facility. Verandah Golf Club has two 18 hole golf courses. They are Old Orange at Verandah and Whispering Oak at Verandah.
Old Orange at Verandah first opened for play in 2003. The course architect was Bob Cupp.
Water comes into play on most holes.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,083 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,903 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 651 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 123 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 549-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Old Orange Golf Course is # 17, the 123 yard par-3.
#18 plays to 291 yards from the forward tees to 404 yards from the championship tees. This dogleg left par 4 that requires a well placed drive between (or over if you’re really long) two large oaks. Miss the oaks and par is readily obtainable.
