Fairwinds Golf Course first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Jim Fazio.
This sub-tropical parkland golf course was built over a landfill and is conveniently located adjacent to the municipal airport.

The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 529 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 124 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 473-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Fairwinds Golf Course is # 12, a 412 yard par-3.
The par-5s, at 529, 497, 477, and 471 yards are short par-5s and provide a great opportunity to make par or birdie. Heck, #3, a 473 yard par-4 is longer than #17, the 471 yard par-5.
