The Legacy Club At Alaqua Lakes first opened for play in 1998. The par-72 course was designed by Thomas Fazio.
The Legacy Club is an expansive, course in the midst of a wildlife preserve that features a diverse variety of wildlife, including forty-six species of birds. The club holds the designation of being one of 27 courses worldwide to be fully certified as a member of the Audubon Cooperative Signature Sanctuary Program (As of 2008).
The fairways are large and undulating. The wide-open fairways are framed by rolling mounds, native marsh and wetlands, acres of nature preserves, and sandy-white bunkers. The club also boasts of large, oversized, fast-rolling, true greens!
