TPC of Tampa Bay

TPC of Tampa Bay is a Semi-private 18 hole golf course located in Lutz, Florida. Located just a 20-minute ride from the Tampa International Airport in Lutz, TPC of Tampa Bay is open to the public seven days a week.

TPC of Tampa Bay opened in 1991. The course was designed by Bobby Weed and Chi Chi Rodriguez. TPC Tampa Bay is part of a network of courses owned and operated by PGA Tour Golf Course Properties.

The TPC of Tampa Bay golf course weaves through lakes and protected wetlands and features well-mounded fairways and large, undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on fifteen holes. The back nine is the most challenging part of the course. The greens are large (averaging 6,400 square feet) and undulating, and most are open in the front, offering golfers the option of hitting run-up approach shots. The Tournament Players Club of Tampa Bay can be as challenging as the golfer wants it to be. But be prepared to pay the price for taking the risks. The fairways have subtle movement and weave through lakes and natural wetlands - 19 in all - and around strategic bunkers that number 81.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6898 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5036 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 14, a par-5 that plays to 588 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 144 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 9, a 472 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at TPC of Tampa Bay is # 11, a 179 yard par-3. The signature hole is #15, a 438-yard, par 4, which is said to be the fourth hardest hole on the Senior PGA Tour.
